Hull City manager Jakirovic reveals when injured Super Eagles’ Ajayi will play again

Hull City manager, Sergej Jakirovic has revealed when injured Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi will play again.

Ajayi has been sidelined since the conclusion of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tournament in Morocco.

He sustained a hamstring injury during the AFCON third-place playoff triumph against Egypt.

Providing an update on Ajayi, Jakirovic suggested that the centre-back could return to action before the end of March.

“We have taken Paddy because of Ajayi’s situation – we don’t know, maybe it will be the end of March
[before] he will be with,” Jakirovic said, according to The Yorkshire Post.

Ajayi’s absence will be a blow for Hull City, given his consistent performances since joining the English club as a free agent.
