This 1951 Ford 8N tractor is said to have sat in a barn unused for over 50 years when it was acquired by the seller in 2023, and it subsequently underwent a mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment. Work included fitting a replacement hood and right-rear fender, repainting the sheet metal, rebuilding the axles, and replacing braking components as well as the front tires, battery, distributor, fuel bowl, fuel line, throttle control rod, starter switch, light switch, and ammeter. The tractor is powered by a 120ci inline-four, and equipment includes a spring-suspended operator’s seat, a hydraulic three-point hitch, a power take-off shaft, a front pin hitch, and independent rear drum brakes. This 8N is offered at no reserve with a bill of sale.

Ford introduced the 8N tractor in 1947, and production continued until the introduction of the NAA and NAB models in 1953. Work during the refurbishment is said to have included repainting the sheet metal gray with red accents as well as replacing the hood, right-rear fender, and rear-mounted running light. Equipment includes a front pin hitch, a grille guard, side steps, and dual headlights. The seller states the replacement hood was produced in the 1950s.

The 16″ front wheels are mounted with Galaxy Earth-Pro F-2 tires, while the 28″ rear wheels wear Kelly-Springfield Power Mark 2000 tires. The seller notes the rear brake drums were turned and the following replacement components were installed during the refurbishment:
- Front spindles
- Left-front adjustable axle drop spindle shaft holder
- Front axle spindle bearing bushing kit
- Front axle spindle bearing bushing kit
- Front drag link
- Rear axle inner seal gaskets
- Rear axle wheel hub nut seals
- Rear brake hardware
- Front tires
- Left-rear wheel hub

The operator’s station houses a steel seat mounted on a spring. Controls consist of a hand throttle behind the steering wheel, a clutch pedal, and twin levers for the independent rear brakes. The starter button and light switch were replaced during the refurbishment.

The steering wheel sits ahead of a proofmeter and auxiliary gauges for amperage and oil pressure. The hour meter shows 43 hours of runtime. The ammeter was replaced during the refurbishment.

The 120ci inline-four is linked to a four-speed manual transmission. Service in 2024 included replacing the distributor, contact points, rotor, fuel bowl, fuel line, battery, battery box, and throttle control rod as well as changing the engine oil and transmission fluid.

The tractor is equipped with a hydraulic three-point hitch and a power take-off shaft.
