Maya Jama and Ruben Dias went through a ‘devastating’ ordeal after their home was attacked earlier this week.

The couple live in a £4million mansion in Cheshire, but both were away on the night of the ransack, with footballer Ruben, 28, playing an away game against Galatasaray and Maya, 31, in South Africa to film Love Island: All Stars.

Thousands of pounds worth of items were reportedly stolen, including designer clothes, jewellery and electronics from their 6,300 sq ft, four-bedroom home.

Other amenities include an indoor leisure suite, landscaped gardens and a security system.

The incident was reported by the Manchester City player upon his return home, where he found their valuables missing.

The couple, who have been together since November 2024, moved in together in November into this Omaze prize-draw mansion with £20,000 a month rent, which was won by a woman named Emily Ward.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said in a statement: ‘Shortly after 11.10pm on Wednesday 28 January, police received reports of a burglary at an address in Woodbrook Road, Alderley Edge.

‘Officers attended and found entry had been made to the property and a number of items had been stolen.

‘Enquiries are currently ongoing, and anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or through the website.’

‘They are devastated, the house is the first they have moved into as a couple and is very special to them. Thankfully, neither was at home, but they are very upset that their personal space has been invaded,’ a source told The Sun.

The insider continued: ‘Maya was very proud to move into her first home with Ruben and took lots of videos and pictures while in the house, which she posted on her social media.’

Since the TV personality was previously being forced to travel ‘back and forth’ from Ruben’s flat in London, this home means ‘so much to them’.

For the most part, the pair have kept their relationship out of the public spotlight and have yet to appear on a red carpet together officially. Instead, they share choice snaps on social media or are spotted out and about together.

Discussing the publicity around their relationship, Ruben told The Telegraph in a recent interview: ‘No, I think that’s the last thing you think about.

‘We are just both aware of it, and there’s no way around it.

‘But at the end of the day, you don’t make it about it. You make it about everything else, and then that’s an extra you have to deal with and, obviously, be smart with it.’
