Youth leader for Tinubu, Shettima campaign organisation abducted

Gunmen believed to be bandits have abducted Ambassador Bashir Isa Gusau, the North-West Youth Leader of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign organisation in Zamfara State.

The incident was made public in a post shared on X on Thursday by security analyst Bakatsine.

According to the post, over 30 armed men invaded Gusau’s home in Gusau town and whisked him away during the attack.

The abduction reportedly took place in front of his wife, throwing the family into distress.

Bakatsine disclosed that security agencies were immediately informed, but efforts to locate the victim have so far been unsuccessful.

Reacting to the incident, the security analyst questioned the persistence of violent attacks in the region, asking how long residents of Zamfara would continue to live under the threat of banditry.

“Gunmen suspected to be bandits abduct Ambassador Bashir Isa Gusau, North-West Youth Leader of Tinubu/Shettima, Zamfara Chapter. Over 30 armed men stormed his home in Gusau and abducted him before his wife. Security agencies alerted, but no trace yet.

“How long will these bandit attacks continue?,” he wrote.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from security authorities regarding the incident.
